As we are on edge to see if a college football season will happen this fall, the University of Alabama got major news on the recruiting trail last week. An 11th verbal commitment came suddenly to its 2021 recruiting class on Wednesday from three-star Kadarius Calloway.
A native of Philadelphia, Miss., Calloway’s decision came out of nowhere as he was previously committed to Mississippi State.

Freddie Roach, the Crimson Tide’s defensive line coach, was able to flip him. Before getting hired to Alabama, Roach spent the last three years at the University of Mississippi. According to Justin Smith, the lead scouting and recruiting analyst for Touchdown Alabama Magazine, Calloway may play on defense but he has the speed of a running back.
The 6-foot, 210-pounder put together some impressive film as a junior.
Along with Calloway, Smith provided an update on the Brockermeyer boys, Damon Payne and Kendrick Blackshire on the recruiting trail.
He was featured with yours truly of TDAM on Friday via In My Own Words.
Currently, the Tide has two five-stars in Agiye Hall (receiver) and JC Latham (offensive line).
