With the experience of Mac Jones under center, the race for the No. 2 spot is between Paul Tyson and Bryce Young.
Both players are incredibly talented and while Young (a true freshman) draws more appeal, Tyson enters his second season in Alabama’s offensive system. According to the Amway Coaches Poll via USA TODAY Sports, the Crimson Tide are ranked No. 3 in the preseason Top-25 of college football. The goal for Tyson and Young is to help position the program to a Southeastern Conference Championship and a College Football Playoff national title.
