Alabama football has 16 verbal commitments for its 2021 recruiting class.
According to Justin Smith, the lead scouting/recruiting analyst for Touchdown Alabama Magazine, four of those commitments are five-stars — including JC Latham.
The 6-foot-6, 306-pound offensive lineman from Florida has a diamond grade of one, which means he projects as an “immediate contributor and a game changer.”
The quartet of Latham, Tommy Brockermeyer, Damon Payne and Agiye Hall are all five-stars.
While it wants to add more defensive linemen, Alabama is also targeting players for its secondary.

The trio of Ga’Quincy McKinstry (five-star), Kamari Lassiter (four-star) and Terrion Arnold (four-star) are all on the Crimson Tide’s recruiting board for this class.
Fans of the program want to see the Tide land all three guys, but it will be interesting to see how the commitment falls for the group.
On Friday of last week, Justin Smith joined yours truly on In My Own Words to update the defensive back targets, tight end targets and defensive lineman, Tim Keenan.
