Alabama football and Georgia will square off in the biggest game of the college football season to this point Saturday.

Both teams come into the matchup undefeated. The Tide are coming off of a shoot-out win over Ole Miss while the Bulldogs are coming into the game after picking up a win over Tennessee last week.

Touchdown Alabama’s staff predicts how this game will play out:

STEPHEN M. SMITH / SENIOR REPORTER

Alabama 34 –  Georgia 17

Key Insight: “This is the moment for Mac Jones and Najee Harris to stamp their names into the Heisman conversation. Both will need a huge performance from the offensive line against Georgia’s defensive front, but if Jones and Harris play well it will be huge for the Crimson Tide. Defensively, look for Alabama to simplify its game plan and come out with a fierce intensity. After getting embarrassed by Ole Miss, expect Dylan Moses to take a huge step forward in this game and cut loose.”

Season Record: 3-1

Other Game Predictions: N/A

JUSTIN SMITH / SCOUTING/RECRUITING ANALYST

Alabama 31 –  Georgia 24

Key Insight: “Alabama’s defense has an opportunity to bounce back against a Georgia offense that has struggled at times. Although Stetson Bennett has shown potential when throwing the football this season, his under estimated athleticism may be the biggest threat to the Crimson Tide’s defense when one considers the struggles it has faced historically against mobile quarterbacks. Look for Georgia to pull from some of the things Ole Miss did on offense last week to throw Alabama off. It remains to be seen if any defense can slow down Mac Jones and Alabama’s offense. If anyone can do it, it will be the Georgia Bulldogs’ defense. I expect the Bulldogs to get Mac Jones uncomfortable at times and force him to win the game for the Tide. I think the Jacksonville Product will be up for the challenge but we still may see Georgia have some success against Alabama’s defense. This should be a great game that may not get won until the fourth quarter. I expect Alabama’s offense to make a difference-making play to give Nick Saban and company the edge.

Season Record: 4-0

Other Games Prediction: N/A

PATRICK DOWD / ALABAMA BEAT REPORTER

Alabama 35 –  Georgia 28

Key Insight: ” Having Nick Saban on the sidelines is a big boost for Alabama despite not having him in the facilities for the last three days of the week. Georgia’s run game may present some issues for Alabama, but the offense led by Mac Jones is playing at a completely different level. It’ll be close but Alabama should come out on top.”

Season Record: 4-0

Other Games Prediction: N/A
