Tennessee’s play at quarterback has taken a step back over the past two weeks where head coach Jeremy Pruitt has seen back-to-back lopsided losses.
The offense that has been held to just seven points, 179 passing yards and three interceptions in the past six quarters has gotten to the point where the team is looking to possibly evaluate the quarterback position.
Pruitt said in his last press conference that Guarantano would need to earn his spot just like the rest of the players. But there are fans and some members of the media who believe that his time should be done and over with.
One of those who share that idea is WRCB Sports reporter for Chattanooga Ben Bobick who emphatically shared his disdain for the idea of Guarantano breaking the huddle as the starter for the Volunteers in his latest broadcast.
Hey #Vols fans, here's my intro to today's game highlights from the 6 o'clock news.
Honestly, it won't make you feel better. At the very least, you may agree though… pic.twitter.com/W9N0xcMvwH

Bobick used the round peg in a square hole analogy to describe Pruitt’s decision to keep trotting Guarantano out at quarterback.
Whether the coaching staff feels the same way is uncertain, but as Saturday’s game against Alabama approaches the dust will eventually settle for the Volunteer’s quarterback decision.
