It hasn’t happened all that often over the past 14 seasons, but whenever Alabama football loses a game its fans remember it.

One of those fans who surely has strong memories of the game is Alabama graduate and professional golfer Justin Thomas who was doing press for The Masters this upcoming weekend.

Thomas, who was College GameDay’s guest picker for the matchup last year, was asked whether it was good or bad if Alabama and LSU were to hold their game if he was in contention heading into Sunday.

The 27-year old casually shrugged off any concerns and gave a lopsided score prediction for the game.

“We’re going to beat them by about 70 if we play them so I don’t think it really makes a difference,” Thomas said.

As of right now, this Saturday’s game may still be in jeopardy due to the surge in positive COVID tests throughout the LSU team this past week.

“We are dealing with COVID and contact tracing I can’t go into detail. It’s a very fluid situation,” LSU head coach Ed Orgeron said during his press conference. “We do have some players in quarantine.”

Should the game occur on time the Crimson Tide will try and get its revenge against the Tigers with a 5 p.m. CT kickoff on CBS.
