It’s been a rough season for Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carsen Wentz. After years of showing promising potential, 2020 has been a bit of a setback for the quarterback and the team itself.
After its loss to the Cleveland Browns last Sunday in an ugly game, the Eagles sit at 3-7 and looking for a spark to get their team going.
That spark may come in the form of rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts who has seen a small bit of playing time throughout the year so far but maybe getting an expanded role in the near future. In his Monday press conference, Pederson talked about getting Hurts more involved in some of the offenses sets.
“I think I can get him in the game a little bit more,” Pederson said.
Hurts had one snap against the Browns last Sunday and on the season has carried the ball 12 times for 56 yards. Whether getting on the field more means a series at quarterback or taking some snaps in the run game is unknown.
But the Eagles need to find some sort of momentum as the season winds down and a playoff push is within its grasp.
