The Alabama Crimson Tide travelled to Baton Rouge on yesterday to do a job and left accomplishing that task. While Alabama fans, alums, and media pundits billed this game as a form of redemption due to last year’s postgame theatrics from Ed Orgeron and LSU players, the Tide stayed the course and handled business to the tune of a 55-17 drubbing of its SEC West rival.
Early in the second quarter, just as the Tigers were finding its footing on offense, Mac Jones again found DeVonta Smith down the right sideline for a 61-yard bomb to further extend the Tide’s lead.
After giving up its second straight big play to Smith, things boiled over for Orgeron, who exploded on the LSU sideline in disgust. See the video and his reaction below.
