During the first half of Alabama’s game against Arkansas, wide receiver DeVonta Smith was returning a punt when he was tackled by Razorbacks tight end Nathan Bax.
But unlike a routine tackle, Bax appeared to attempt a “gator roll” tackle where he attempts to twist the leg of Smith and injure him. Luckily for Smith, he was not injured on the play and was able to play the rest of the game unaffected by the play.
Alabama fans and players took exception to this play and voiced their thoughts and reactions online:
Cmon now Arkansas!!! https://t.co/7ZOo4zH4SJ
