As of the moment, Alabama will have to wait and see what the status is of starting middle linebacker Christian Harris.

On the first play of the game against Arkansas, Harris went down with a shoulder injury and was forced to exit the game and was unable to return to play.

Following the 52-3 win, head coach Nick Saban provided an update on Harris’ status.

“Christian hurt his shoulder,” Saban said during his postgame press conference. “I don’t know exactly how bad it is yet. I don’t know. Doc said they’re gonna do an MRI on him, and he said he didn’t know for sure the extent. But that would determine whether he can come back and play this week or how long he would be out, and I can’t really comment on that right now.”

Coming into the game Harris was the Crimson Tide’s leading tackled with 64, and with the SEC Championship game against Florida next week the extent of his injury will be very important.

This story will be updated.
