The 2020 college football season has mirrored the year of 2020 with many bizarre twists and turns. After the Auburn Tigers defeated the Mississippi State Bulldogs Saturday, the Tigers announced the firing of Gus Malzahn, after a 6-4 SEC-only conference record.

Malzahn, in his 8th season as head coach compiled a 68-35 record and a 3-5 Iron Bowl record against Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

I was very surprised with signing day coming ad the buyout they will owe him after extending him couple years ago. Tennessee is in same situation after extending Pruitt 2 years although Gus has had plenty of time to show what he is worth. Pruitt at TN deserves more time.
