There have been worries all week as to whether Alabama would be headed into the SEC Championship against Florida without one of its important pieces in the middle of the defense in Christian Harris.
Harris sustained a shoulder injury on the first play of the Crimson Tide’s game against Arkansas last week creating doubts as to whether the sophomore would be able to give it a go against the Gators.
During an appearance on College Gameday, head coach Nick Saban provided another update on Harris’ status.
“We’ll make a gameday decision on this,” Saban said. “He’s been able to practice this week. It’s just, does he feel and we feel he can go out there and effectively do his job relative to the injury, the shoulder injury that he has.”
Harris leads the Crimson Tide in tackles this season with 65 and has accumulated 2.5 sacks and two pass deflections on the season.
