We will have a return to normalcy this summer.

After the Coronavirus pandemic canceled SEC Media Days in 2020, the league’s front office in Birmingham (Ala.) announced on Tuesday that the event will return to the Hyatt Regency Birmingham — The Wynfrey in Hoover from July 19-22.

Nashville was the initial site for the venue this year, but that located has been rescheduled for 2023.

As for the 2022 SEC Media Days, a location for that event is unknown. In 18 of the last 19 occurrences, the Wynfrey Hotel has been the primary site for media days. According to Greg Sankey, SEC Commissioner, he said the conference looks forward to making media days an even bigger event in Nashville for 2023.

“Nashville’s success with the NFL Draft in 2019 was a point of attraction when we originally selected it as site for SEC Football Media Days, but the current environment related to the virus will not allow us to explore some of the unique fan experiences we had hoped to pursue in Nashville for this event,” Sankey said.

When the football media days hit, it is the official countdown to the college football season and fans get excited.

It will be awesome seeing the event return to Hoover in the summer.
