On Friday, Alabama football begins spring practice.
A lot of positions have been discussed on In My Own Words with yours truly of Touchdown Alabama Magazine, and the defensive line was one of them.
Christian Barmore moves on to the NFL Draft, but the Crimson Tide returns Phidarian Mathis, LaBryan Ray, DJ Dale, Tim Smith, Jamil Burroughs, Stephon Wynn, and others upfront.
Barmore totaled eight of Alabama’s 35 sacks in 2020, while the rest of the front collected four sacks total. Will the Tide have a primary pass rusher, or will there be a few players that emerge?
As the defensive secondary finds its niche, the playmakers on the line must be the strength of the defense.
