Walter Nolen cut his top schools list down to eight programs Friday.
Nolen previously had a top ten, which included Auburn, Tennessee and Clemson. All three programs were cut by Nolen this time around and Georgia was added. The Bulldogs were joined by Alabama, USC, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon and Florida in Nolen’s top eight.
The Crimson Tide have been a huge part of the Tennessee product’s recruitment to this point. He told Touchdown Alabama he was in consistent contact with Nick Saban late last month.
“I have been talking to coach Saban a lot,” Nolen said. “He is trying to help me long term. He wants to make sure I am straight in the long run. He always asks me about my education and what I will do in a school if I went up there. It is always a good thing because school is always going to come first.”
