Alabama football has its second player from this year’s NFL Draft to sign a rookie contract.
Patrick Surtain II was selected at No. 9 overall by the Denver Broncos, and the former Crimson Tide cornerback agreed to terms with the team on his four-year deal. The news came today from Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, and then the Broncos’ Twitter page confirmed the news.
Surtain, a native of Plantation, Fla., is excited to suit up for his new team and become a star in the league.

According to Spotrac, he’s projected to get $21 million fully guaranteed.

Surtain’s deal will have a $12.6 million signing bonus with a fifth-year option available.
The 6-foot-2, 208-pounder helped Alabama secure a national championship in 2020 and was a two-time Southeastern Conference champion (2018, 2020).
