Alabama’s defensive back coach and fellow Texas native Jay Valai informed Rubell of his offer after the camp.

“The camp was amazing,” said Rubell. “I like the fast pace doing the drills. I  felt like an Alabama Athlete.”

Alabama’s coaches left a good impression on Rubell.

“I love that the coaches really care about perfecting your craft and want to teach you how to be a better person and man,” Rubell said.

The rising sophomore currently stands at 5-foot-11 and weighs 160 pounds. He showed a lot of potential as a  freshman for Brewer High School, especially in man coverage.
