Phidarian Mathis chose to take advantage of the COVID year and return to Alabama football for his fifth season.
As an experienced veteran, Mathis will be the leader up front for the Crimson Tide’s defensive line. He turned in a good performance in 2020, totaling 31 tackles, five tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, three quarterback hurries, three pass breakups, and one forced fumble. Before this season starts, Mathis will be giving back to the youth in his hometown of Wisner, La.

The event will be at TB Tax Services from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Mathis wanted to this last year, but the Coronavirus pandemic forced him to put the giveaway on hold. Now, he is ready to get things going for the parents, youth, and all in the community.
