Walker holds more than 30 D1 offers and is rated as a four-star recruit on most recruiting sites. He released a top five in July and included Georgia, Michigan, Missouri, Arizona State and Kentucky.
The Detroit, Michigan product told Touchdown Alabama he felt it was a blessing to get an offer from Alabama.
“I felt blessed and excited,” Walker said. “They are a great program and have a lot to go off of from last year. They also have great player development.”
The Crimson Tide’s coaching staff had been in contact with Walker before they offered him. They hosted him for an unofficial visit in June and got a chance to see him camp.
“It was a good visit,” Walker said. “The place looked really nice.”
Walker is one of the biggest defensive line prospects in the 2022 recruiting class. He currently stands at 6-foot-6 and weighs 340 pounds. However, he moves like a prospect who weighs a lot less.
The four-star recruit was very disruptive as a junior for Cass Tech High School.
