Pregame notes for Alabama’s home opener: Freshman CB is getting first career start

A full crowd has returned to Bryant-Denny Stadium for a home football game for the first time since the 2019 season.  

After dealing with COVID-19 last year, Alabama fans are excited to watch its team in the home opener against Mercer.

We could see some young players get opportunities on the field, as Nick Saban wants consistent intensity before heading into the SEC schedule. The Crimson Tide is coming off a 44-13 victory against Miami last week.
