On Monday it was announced that Alabama outside linebacker Will Anderson has been named SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week, following his performance against Florida.
After recovering from a leg injury which he suffered one week ago against Mercer, Anderson returned to action without restriction.
This is the first time Anderson has been named defensive player of the week from the SEC, and it is the Crimson Tide’s third this season.
Will Anderson Jr.
- Was dominant up front, totaling a team- and career-high 3.5 tackles for loss (-8 yards) on the day
- The 3.5 tackles for loss were part of his seven total stops against the Gators, good for third on the Tide defense
- His impressive performance in The Swamp moved him into fourth in the SEC in tackles for loss and 20th in the league in total tackles
