The 2021 high school football state championships are set to kick off in several states this week, and the future of Alabama football will be well represented.
Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee will play their high school football state championship games this week. Four Crimson Tide commits are set to compete for state titles within those states.
Jeremiah Alexander and Trequon Fegans will suit up for Thompson High School in the Alabama 7A state championship game on Wednesday night. The Warriors will take on Central Phenix City High School at Proactive Stadium in Birmingham, Alabama. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m, and the game will be streamed live on the NFHS Network. Thompson will enter the matchup 12-1.
Fegans has helped the warriors’ defense limit opponents passing attack with his 38 total tackles, three interceptions and ten pass deflections this season. Alexander has been an enforcer along Thompson’s front seven with his 86 total tackles, 27 tackles for loss and nine sacks.
Jaheim Oatis, Alabama’s four-star defensive tackle commit, will look to play a huge role in Columbia High School taking home the Mississippi 4A state title. The Wildcats will take on Senatobia High School at M.M. Roberts Stadium in Hattiesburg, Mississippi Saturday. The game will kick off at 11 a.m, and it will be streamed on the NFHS Network.
Oatis finished the regular season with 55 tackles, five sacks and 22 tackles for loss this season. He was named the 4A classification Mr. Football for his efforts.
Not to many 6-foot-5, nearly 300 pound defensive linemen can move like Alabama’s 4 star ⭐️ DT commit, Jaheim Oatis.
