“I am excited to announce that I will continue my football career path at the University of Arkansas,” Sanders said in his statement. “Signed and ready to work.”
Sanders, a sophomore, appeared in 23 games across his career at Alabama as he made 12 appearances during the 2021 season. He filled in for senior outside linebacker Christopher Allen who suffered a season-ending injury during the team’s first game of the year against Miami. Sanders would later miss three games of his own dealing with a hand injury and was replaced by freshman Dallas Turner who finished the year as the starter.
In his 12 games this past season, Sanders recorded 24 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack, four quarterback hurries and two pass breakups.
