Moody would enter his fifth season with the Crimson Tide. He provides leadership and experience in the inside linebacker room as he’s played in 52 career games. Christian Harris declared for the NFL Draft, so it gives Moody a chance to win the job at weakside “Will” linebacker next to Henry To’oto’o.
Alabama could also have Moody in the middle and To’oto’o at weakside. The 6-foot-2, 225-pounder came to the Tide as a three-star in the 2018 class.
Moody has 44 career tackles and one interception. He recorded his first interception versus Miami in Alabama’s 2021 season opener.
Moody finished last season with 11 tackles. He won three SEC Championships (2018, 2020, 2021) and one national championship in 2020.
It is a big deal for the Crimson Tide to have Moody back on defense.
