Strozier added an Alabama football offer to his offer list Saturday after visiting for Junior Day. His recruitment took off in December when the Arkansas Razorbacks became the first program to offer him. His offer list now sits at 17 after Alabama put their hat in the ring for the 2023 defensive back.
“I found out during a meeting with coach Saban, and it felt great to receive an offer from a school of their caliber,” said Strozier.
The new Alabama target got to tour Alabama’s player facilities and meet some of their coaches for the first time during his visit. He said he was most impressed with Alabama’s strength and conditioning staff’s attention to detail.
“I got to see how they ran their weight program, how they planned out their academics, their locker rooms, and I met with their athletic trainers,” said Strozier. “What really stood out was how they adjusted the way you lift and workout to how your body functions.”
At 6-foot-2 and 175 pounds, Strozier is a long defensive back with the build of a cornerback. He played wide receiver and defensive back for St. Francis High School during the 2021 football season. The 2023 recruit made plays on both sides of the football, but he shined in a little bit brighter as a defensive back.
Saban told Strozier he was impressed with his length.
“Coach Saban really likes my ability to use my feet and my ability to use my size at corner,” Strozier said.
