Jeremiah Alexander

-Weaknesses: Pass Coverage, Does Not have Great Length

Summary for spring practice

Alabama’s starting outside linebackers, Will Anderson and Dallas Turner established themselves last season. However, there is some unproven depth behind those two.

Jeremiah Alexander will have an opportunity to work himself into the Tide’s outside linebacker rotation this spring. At 6-foot-2 and 258 pounds, he is going to be the shortest outside linebacker on Alabama’s roster. Despite not having the length of a typical college edge rusher, the Alabaster product packs some serious power when coming off the edge.

Alexander was rated as a five-star recruit coming out of Thompson High School. He was the top-rated player inside the state of Alabama in the 2022 recruiting class.

RELATED: Jeremiah Alexander Recruiting Profile

The Alabama native was one of the strongest high school players in the nation last season. His incredible strength allowed him to power through offensive linemen and get to the football. He also operated well in space to make some impressive open-field tackles.

Alexander has an explosive first step as well, which puts offensive linemen on their heels. He was methodical in his rushing technique at Thompson. He would often use the bull-rush technique for a few plays and then dip inside or delay his rush on a stunt to keep linemen guessing.

Alexander’s unique build opens the door for him to be developed into a hybrid linebacker. He primarily rushed from the edge for the Warriors during his high school career, but he does have experience playing standing up at inside linebacker. The Alabama freshman ended his senior year with 93 total tackles and 10 sacks.
