It is a question many Crimson Tide fans have as High Tide Traditions, a third party, has entered the conversation to help student-athletes increase opportunities for NIL deals. This has been a hot-button topic as we’ve seen mixed emotions about the subject.
Some are fine with players being compensated for their likeness, but others say it will ruin college football.
Coach Nick Saban wants to create a culture of Alabama having it all for players. He wants the Crimson Tide to be a place for national championships, first-round NFL Draft picks, and NIL deals. He has made every obstacle work in his favor in Tuscaloosa, and NIL is the next challenge for him to master. On Monday, Patrick Dowd and Stephen Smith of Touchdown Alabama Magazine discussed High Tide Traditions via In My Own Words. The two brought their thoughts on the pros and cons of NIL for the Tide.
