The wide receiver position for Alabama football is one to be excited about.
Jermaine Burton has grabbed headlines as a transfer, but Crimson Tide fans are anxious to see Christian Leary, JoJo Earle, Traeshon Holden, Thaiu Jones-Bell, Aaron Anderson, and Kendrick Law in Saturday’s spring game. Bryce Young is confident in his receivers, and he looks forward to putting on a show at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Holden, a junior, wants to take advantage of a potential starting season in his third year. As a former four-star, the native Floridian has a relationship with Young before college.

The two bonded at high school camps in California.
Holden played in 15 games in 2021, totaling 21 catches for 239 yards receiving and a touchdown. The 6-foot-3, 214-pounder caught three passes for 70 yards versus Mississippi State, including a 29-yard touchdown. Holden feels this season will be his moment to become an impactful player. He shared his confidence on Twitter with a post saying “Not worried. I’m the 1.”

He possesses big-play capabilities, but we will see if it happens for him. Holden has an opportunity to excel on Saturday, and carry the success into the summer and fall camp. If he can, he very well could be one of Alabama’s starting receivers.
