Jameson Williams is a few hours away from his life changing forever.

He was the most impactful offensive player for the Crimson Tide in 2021, totaling 79 catches for 1,572 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns. Williams had one of Alabama’s greatest single-season performances for a receiver in school history.

The 6-foot-2, 189-pounder suffered an ACL injury to his knee in the CFP National Championship Game, but he still projects as a top-15 draft pick. Mike Tannenbaum, an ESPN Insider, compared the electric speedster to the Miami Dolphins Tyreek Hill.

Hill is the most explosive receiver in today’s NFL, and Williams carries similar traits to him.

Tannenbaum told ESPN’s Paul Finebaum that he went to the SEC Championship Game to scout Georgia’s defense, but he came away finding the next Hill in Williams. He shredded the Bulldogs’ defensive secondary for 184 yards and two touchdowns on seven receptions. Williams helped the Crimson Tide to a 41-24 victory and pushed Bryce Young to the Heisman Trophy.

People do not like comparisons, but one cannot help to see a resemblance between Hill and Williams. Williams can separate from elite defenders, runs proficient routes, and creates instant offense. Alabama fans are excited to watch him excel at the next level.
