People had fun with this moment on Twitter, and Smith sent social media into an uproar with a hysterical tweet. He took a line from the movie Next Friday, saying ‘Damn, got fired on my day off.’ Everyone knew it was a mistake, but comedy came from it.
Smith got selected in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

He helped the Crimson Tide to an undefeated national championship season in 2020 and won the Heisman Trophy.
Smith caught 64 passes for 916 yards and five touchdowns in his rookie season. He is excited to see the Eagles’ offense reach new heights in the fall with Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown.
