Javion Cohen is giving back to the youth in his hometown before starting his junior season at Alabama.
As a veteran offensive lineman, Cohen is hosting his inaugural youth football skills camp this weekend. A native of Phenix City, Ala., he came in the Crimson Tide’s 2020 signing class as a four-star. He can play tackle or guard, but he started 14 games as a left guard in 2021.
He missed the matchup against New Mexico State (wrist injury), but Cohen totaled 21 knockdown blocks in 1,073 snaps. The 6-foot-4, 305-pounder assisted Bryce Young to win the Heisman Trophy and Brian Robinson in a 1,000-yard season.

He has grown to become a leader and voice in the locker room for the offensive line.

A strong season for Cohen in the fall could produce a quality draft status for him.
He wants a second College Football Playoff National Championship with the Tide, but this one may come with him as a starter. It is good to see Cohen give back to those he influences before he returns to school for workouts and preseason camp. Tide fans are looking forward to watching him in the fall.
