Alabama football signed a five-star quarterback in its recent freshmen class, and he’s ready to become a huge name.
Ty Simpson is the third freshman to post a high school graduation photo on Twitter, joining Aaron Anderson (wide receiver) and Jaheim Oatis (defensive lineman). Simpson marched with his diploma from Westview High School in Tennessee on Saturday.

He led the program to the Tennessee 2A State Championship in 2021 as a senior. Simpson was named the Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year after tossing for 2,827 yards, rushing for 862 yards, and totaling 52 touchdowns last year. The 6-foot-2, 198-pounder is very athletic with a strong arm. He performed well in spring practice for Alabama and impressed fans on A-Day.

Simpson has to continue bulking up his body and learning the system, but he has huge potential.
He can now focus on being a Crimson Tide athlete as he’s finished high school.
