Alabama football players are cashing in on the NIL culture of college football.
Since compensation started for name, image, and likeness, we have seen Bryce Young and Will Anderson take advantage of the platform. Both have reached seven figures for NIL, but a new face has jumped in. DeMarcco Hellams, a senior safety, made his NIL deal via Twitter. It is the first one we have known the Washington, D.C. native to have. Hellams dropped merchandise on fanarch.com. He has signature hoodies, t-shirts, sweaters, and phone cases. The 6-foot-1, 208-pounder suffered an ankle injury during preseason camp in 2021, but he recorded 87 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, three pass breakups, and three interceptions.
