We are in the week of the “Third Saturday in October” rivalry.

Alabama head coach Nick Saban updated reporters on quarterback Bryce Young. The junior did not play against Texas A&M because of an AC joint sprain to his throwing shoulder. He participated in pregame warmups, but Young did not throw any passes. Saban said the reigning Heisman Trophy winner ‘will be re-evaluated’ today, and the team is hopeful that he will play.

One Tennessee fan wants Young on the field Saturday at Neyland Stadium.

According to the GoVols message board, Foreigner Vol wants Young to get intentionally hurt via a late hit penalty. He said if Young plays, the Volunteers need to hit him in the shoulder and take the 15-yard penalty. The fan said ‘don’t injure him, but hit Young and bother him.’ It wants to see Jalen Milroe or Alabama’s run game defeat unbeaten Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn.

CBS will have the call on the matchup at 2:30 p.m. CT.
