Jones is a product of Swainsboro High School in Georgia. The Crimson Tide are the 10th D1 program to offer the 2024 recruit, joining Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina and others. Alabama’s tight end’s coach Joe Cox informed Jones of his offer from the Tide.
“I actually talked to coach Cox on the phone after I got out of football practice,” Jones told Touchdown Alabama. “I felt excited and blessed. They are a powerhouse school and like every other kid growing up, it’s a dream school. I really love the school and what they have going on academically and with their football program.”
At 6-foot-1 and approximately 176 pounds, Jones contributed on both sides of football this season. He made plays at multiple positions, but the Crimson Tide like him as a defensive back.
“They like me as a safety, and they like that I can play any position on the field and make plays,” said Jones.
