One of Alabama’s six names in the transfer portal from November has provided clarity about his decision.
Khyree Jackson, a former junior college transfer, entered the NCAA transfer portal on Wednesday, Nov. 23.
He wanted to go into his senior season as not a graduate transfer. Jackson announced Thursday via Twitter he has withdrawn his name from the portal because if one goes into the portal before December 5, it is classified as a graduate transfer. He will be back in the portal next Monday as an undergraduate transfer. Jackson is stating he won’t return to Tuscaloosa (Ala.) to make it simple.
I have withdrawn from the portal because to be in the portal before Dec 5 you have to be a Grad Transfer. I will be back in the portal Monday, as a undergraduate transfer.

He played in 12 games during the Crimson Tide’s run to a Southeastern Conference Championship in 2021.
The 6-foot-3, 197-pounder was mostly used on special teams this season. Alabama will have Kool-Aid McKinstry, Eli Ricks, Terrion Arnold, and others at cornerback for its bowl prep or possible College Football Playoff opportunity.
