Kameron Kynard saw his recruitment get rolling with an offer from Marshall on Jan. 18, and it was a glimpse of what is to come for the lengthy defensive back.
Kynard is a product of Hueytown High School in Alabama, and he is a member of the 2024 recruiting class. Marshall is his only offer at the moment, but it will not be for long.
The 2024 recruit said it felt good to earn his first offer from the Thundering Herd.
“It has always been my dream to play at the next level,” Kynard said. “I know what I can do. I am hoping to pick up many more.”
At 6-foot-2, Kynard has the length coaches at the collegiate level are looking for when recruiting defensive backs. He is also versatile with impressive ball skills.
The Golden Gophers have lined Kynard up at safety and cornerback throughout his career. He has played 16 games at cornerback and ten games at safety.
Kynard feels he can make an impact in multiple ways.
“I am a good playmaker all over the field,” said Kynard. “I can play safety and corner. I can play everywhere on defense. I can play offense too. I want to be able to come down and hit more and be more explosive.
