Hewitt-Trussville DB Michael Igbinoghene picks up first Power 5 offers

Michael Igbinoghene

Michael Igbinoghene collected a pair of power five offers last month, marking the beginning stages of his growing recruitment.

Igbinoghene is a sophomore at Hewitt-Trussville High School, and he is the younger brother of Miami Dolphins’ defensive back, Noah Igbinoghene. He holds four D1 offers at the moment with offers from Arkansas, Florida State, Northern Arizona and UCF. The 2025 recruit is grateful schools are showing him interest at this point in his recruitment.

“It feels amazing,” Igbinoghene told Touchdown Alabama.”I am honored and blessed schools took the time to watch my film and offer me a scholarship to play football at the next level.”

Igbinoghene is considered an all-around athlete for the Huskies. He recently won the indoor 7A state championship in long jump.

On the field, Igbinoghene is a 5-foot-11, 170-pounder, who can run a 4.4 forty. His speed allows him to turn and run with most receivers as his coverage skills are advanced at this stage in his development. He feels his ability to play man-to-man is ‘definitely’ his biggest strength at the moment.

College coaches have praised his speed and physicality.
