Saraland LB Jamison Curtis heating up on recruiting trail

Jamison Curtis saw his recruitment grow significantly in January.

Curtis, who is a junior at Saraland High School in Saraland, Alabama, holds 11 D1 offers. The Saraland product is currently not ranked on any major recruiting site, but everything points to that changing in the near future.

A big month on the recruiting trail in January led Curtis to add seven new offers. Texas A&M and Mississippi State are the latest programs to offer him. Ole Miss was the first SEC program to do so.

The junior told Touchdown Alabama he feels his offer list does not change the person he strives to be every day.

“It feels amazing, but it does not change my mindset on anything,” Curtis said. “I am the same person I was before I got any attention. I am keeping my head down and staying humble.”

Curtis currently stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs approximately 210 pounds. He is a versatile defender, who has displayed an ability to make plays rushing from the edge and playing as an off-the-ball linebacker. Coaches have praised his ability to make an impact at different positions on the field.

“They have told me I just jumped off the tape immediately, and I am a really versatile player, that I would fit well into their defense as a safety or linebacker, coming into the box a little bit,” said Curtis.

Curtis finished the 2022 football season with 107 tackles, 3.5 sacks and two interceptions en route to helping Saraland win a class 6A state championship.

The Saraland junior wants to add some rush moves to his repertoire and improve in man overage as he continues to look for ways to improve his skillset.
