A former Alabama player and two-time College Football Playoff National Champion is looking for a new team in the National Football League.

LaBryan Ray, a defensive end for the Crimson Tide from 2017 to 2020, got cut by the New England Patriots. Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network reported the news Friday as New England signed Ray as an undrafted free agent in 2021.

Ray, a native of Madison, Ala., arrived in Alabama’s top-ranked 2017 class as a five-star.

Injuries prevented him from blossoming into a star player; however, he did help the Crimson Tide win national championships in 2017 and 2020.

Hopefully, Ray lands on a team soon.
