The feeling is mutual between AJ McCarron and the XFL.
He is enjoying the league and fans are enjoying him as a quarterback. McCarron propelled the St. Louis Battlehawks to its second comeback victory over Seattle.

He tossed two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter in the Battlehawks’ 18-15 win over San Antonio, but the former Alabama quarterback returned with big plays versus Seattle. McCarron recorded two touchdowns, including a scoring toss to Hakeem Butler in the fourth quarter. He read the blitz properly, connected with Butler on a perfect pass, and the receiver did the rest.
McCarron’s final drive got the Battlehawks in position for a game-winning field goal to earn a 20-18 victory over Seattle.

He won three BCS National Championships at the University of Alabama, including two as a starting quarterback, but McCarron has been doubted since becoming a pro. The National Football League did not give him a true opportunity, so he wants to prove he can excel on the big stage. He is doing that in the XFL and appreciates the league for giving him a chance to do that.

“It is just fun to come out here and play,” McCarron said after the game. “I miss playing. I miss not being a backup. It is a great living and I loved it, but I love playing. This is special, and I thank the XFL so much.”
McCarron has found his place in the game again.
