Alabama football’s five-star commit, Jaylen Mbakwe is set to return to Tuscaloosa this weekend for the Crimson Tide’s junior day event.
Mbakwe is one of the Tide’s four 2024 commits. He is still being recruited by a long list of programs despite his pledge. Those schools include Miami, LSU, Clemson, Auburn, Oregon, Florida and Tennessee, according to Mbakwe.
The Clay-Chalkville product recently visited LSU. With interest in the Tigers, he still feels comfortable with his pledge to the Tide.
“It is high, but I am very locked in,” Mbakwe said.

The Tide will have plenty of other top recruits on campus this weekend as well. Mbakwe is expected to play a role in Alabama pushing for some guys who will be in Tuscaloosa.
