Zion Grady returned to Alabama for a visit with the Crimson Tide Wednesday.
Grady is a product of Charles Henderson High School in Troy, Alabama. He is rated as a five-star recruit or considered the No. 1 edge-rusher in the 2025 recruiting class by multiple recruiting sites.
Alabama offered Grady in September when he visited Alabama when the Tide defeated Vanderbilt. He returned Wednesday and enjoyed the vibe of the trip.
“It was amazing,” Grady told Touchdown Alabama. “I love the atmosphere.”
Nick Saban caught up with the 2025 recruit during his visit.
“It was really cool,” Grady said. “We just talked about me as a player and the Alabama program.”

The Charles Henderson product fits the mold of an outside linebacker in Alabama’s defense. He enjoyed watching Will Anderson in action when he visited Alabama during the season
“Getting to see the defense work, especially will Anderson was one of the highlights of the day,” said Grady. “I feel we play the same role. I think I will fit in perfectly. That is one thing that stood out to me. They see me playing the Anderson role.”
At 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds, Grady is a versatile defensive prospect with experience rushing standing up from the edge and playing with his hand in the ground. He has an explosive first step and can time the snap of the football extremely well. Alabama’s coaching staff told Grady they loved his ‘athleticism’ and how he uses his ‘hands to attack’ after he camped in Tuscaloosa last June.
The Alabama target is working to get ‘bigger during the off-season.

Grady will be back in action with Charles Henderson on May 13 when they take on Hewitt-Trussville for their spring game.
