The Iron Bowl is about to get very interesting over the next few years.

After spending time at Liberty, Hugh Freeze is back in the Southeastern Conference as Auburn’s head football coach.

He coached Ole Miss from 2012 to 2016, defeating Nick Saban and Alabama twice. Freeze and Saban have a good relationship, but Freeze knows how important it is to keep the Tiger alums and boosters happy. He stated in a press conference about how much he wants to “beat the crap out of Nick Saban.” Freeze said it in a joking manner; however, Auburn takes having an edge over its in-state rival seriously. The Tigers also feel that Freeze could potentially take the program to a College Football Playoff National Championships. Ha’Sean “Ha Ha” Clinton-Dix, a former All-American safety for the Crimson Tide, is now a director of player development at his Alma mater. He responded to Freeze’s comments on Twitter.

Clinton-Dix is about helping the Tide win national championships. He captured two BCS national title rings in 2011 and 2012.

This year’s Iron Bowl will be at Jordan-Hare Stadium, but Saban is more focused on having his players right in spring practice.
