AJ McCarron continues the St. Louis Battlehawks’ winning ways in the XFL.
McCarron paced the team to its fifth victory of the season Sunday against the Houston Roughnecks. He completed 26 of 34 passes for 222 yards and three touchdowns in the Battlehawks’ 24-15 win.
The former Alabama quarterback got the Battlehawks on the board early with a touchdown pass to Gary Jennings.

After the Roughnecks got on the board, McCarron responded back with a touchdown throw to Hakeem Butler from five yards out to make the score 12-6. Another hook-up between McCarron and Butler on the two-point conversion extended the Battlehawks’ lead to eight.

With around four minutes left in the game, McCarron sealed up the win with a touchdown throw to Darrius Shephard.

The Battlehawks will take on the Vegas Vipers Saturday.
