4-Star QB Air Noland returns to Alabama ahead of commitment

Langston Hughes High School’s starting quarterback Air Noland returned to visit Alabama football Monday ahead of his April 8 decision.

Noland confirmed he was in Tuscaloosa via a tweet from the Crimson Tide’s spring practice.

The Georgia product is a four-star quarterback in the 2024 recruiting class. He currently has Alabama, Arkansas State, Clemson, Miami, Ohio State, Texas A&M and Oregon in his top seven.

The Buckeyes offered Noland last weekend after hosting him. The four-star has also taken recent visits to Clemson, Texas A&M Miami and Arkansas.

Alabama last hosted Noland in January when Nick Saban offered him despite having a commitment from five-star quarterback, Julian Sayin. Noland said he felt Sayin’s commitment is something he has to take into consideration.

“You have to compete at the job I play, which is quarterback,” said Noland. “You can not run away from competition, especially at the position I play, especially with the game of football. Competition is something you can not shy away from. I know they have a commit. At the end of the day, it is business. Coach actually told me he is going to take two in his class, just knowing that they have a commit is something I have to take into consideration. But at the end of the day, I would love to go out and compete with any and every quarterback in the country.”

Noland led Langston Hughes to a 6A state championship during the 2022 football season. His accuracy and ability to drop the football in his target’s hands were among his biggest strengths during that run. He finished the year with 4,095 passing yards and 55 touchdowns while only throwing four interceptions.
