Five things Alabama fans should watch for in second scrimmage

Alabama head coach Nick Saban had much positive things to say after the first scrimmage, but what will he see in this one?

The Crimson Tide returns to Bryant-Denny Stadium for a second game-like practice.

Before its A-Day game next week, Saban wants to know if there are more guys on the team that can play winning football. Tide fans, on the other hand, have specific questions they want answered. Here are five things Alabama fans should watch for in the second scrimmage. Saban will address reporters with a recap of the live practice in his presser following the scrimmage.

1. Does a starting QB emerge?

Greg McElroy was the last Alabama quarterback to win the starting job in spring practice.

He proved he was far ahead of Star Jackson in 2009 and helped the Tide to a BCS National Championship.
