He is not in the National Football League, but AJ McCarron showed everyone he still has it at quarterback.
McCarron took his talents to the new XFL for the St. Louis Battlehawks and had much success. St. Louis did not make the playoffs, despite a 7-3 record, but McCarron set a league record for single-season touchdown passes. The Battlehawks earned a 53-28 victory last week over the Orlando Guardians. McCarron tossed six touchdown passes, giving him 24 on the season.

He surpassed Tommy Maddox, who had 21 passing touchdowns in 2001. McCarron was a three-time BCS National Champion at the University of Alabama, including a two-time national championship starting quarterback in 2011 and 2012.

He finished his Alabama career with 9,019 passing yards and 77 passing touchdowns.
It is going to be fun to watch McCarron’s continued growth in the XFL.
