A former All-American for Alabama football has found a new team in the National Football League.

After three seasons (2020-22) with the Los Angeles Rams, A’Shawn Robinson signed a one-year contract worth $8 million for the New York Giants. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported the news Monday as the Giants add a veteran defensive lineman.

Robinson helped the Rams’ defense capture a Super Bowl Championship in 2021.

Robinson had 5.5 sacks for the Crimson Tide as a freshman in 2013, earning Freshman All-SEC and Freshman All-American honors. As a former five-star, he assisted the Tide to two Southeastern Conference Championships (2014, 2015) and a College Football Playoff National Championship in 2015. He earned Consensus All-American honors as a junior in 2015.
