It may not happen, but the rumors about Derrick Henry joining the Philadelphia Eagles have continued.

The rumors surfaced earlier in the offseason about the Tennessee Titans shopping Henry around.

Nothing came of those speculations because Henry is seeking a new contract from the Titans. According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Henry has a base salary of $10.5 million this year and is in the final year of his deal.

Akbar Gbaaja-Biamila, a former NFL player, posted a breaking news tweet last week of Henry heading to the Eagles.

As a former analyst for NFL Network, nothing has come to fruition from Gbaja-Biamila’s tweet.

A.J. Brown, a wide receiver for the Eagles, was Henry’s former teammate for the Titans. He responded to Gbaja-Bimaila’s post, wanting the Eagles to bring Henry in. The rumors are still rumors about the two-time NFL rushing champion leaving Tennessee.

No confirmation has been made official as Henry awaits a possible new deal from the Titans.
